Thousands of Canucks fans are coming to downtown to watch the final game of the Stanley Cup. We can see them from the window of our school at the Granville campus. There are huge screens in a few locations in downtown to watch the game together, and to practice your English listening skills. It’s the heart of the excitement. Go Canucks go!

inlingua Vancouver Gastown campus Learn to speak English

If you’re an agent for the ESL industry in Vancouver or a student who’s new to the city, it’s easy to find inlingua Vancouver’s main campus in Gastown.

inlingua Vancouver’s Gastown campus is in the heart of one of the city’s most famous neighborhoods at 150 Water Street. You know you’re close when you see Gastown’s famous steam clock, one of the city’s most photographed landmarks. Just look for the orange inlingua sign, take an elevator up to the third floor and you’ve made it! What does our campus look like on the inside? Watch this video and have a look at our campus (Note: The video was taken when the finishing touches were being put on our school a few years back – the stairs look pretty fancy now!).

We were lucky to have a gorgeous day for our graduation activity on last Friday. It was sunny, food was great, and the games were fun!

My arms were sore from playing volleyball all day. It was worth it though, had a lot of fun with great students and inlingua staff. Some Brazilian students showed us their advanced soccer skills – even when they were playing volleyball!

There were some tree climbers too. Thanks to Ken for rescuing our ball from that huge tree!

Some ESL teachers who wanted to teach English at inlingua Vancouver asked me what kind of certification they needed. A TESL certificate that is recognized by TESL Canada, or a CELTA certificate is all you need. For more information about obtaining the certificate you can visit the TESL Canada website.

Orcas (Killer Whales) are considered to be the king of the ocean because of their size and strength. First Nations of Canada have many tales about them. Seems like they are not very shy about being near people. Enjoy the video below showing a pod swimming near a fishing boat just outside downtown.
