University Pathway Program - UPP
The UPP University Pathway Program is a language program that will allow you to learn English and acquire all the necessary skills to be accepted and succeed in a university or college.

What is the UPP - University Pathway Program?
It's the easiest way to gain entry to a university or college in Canada or the USA. During your pathway program, you will study foundation courses and the university preparation course.
As part of the UPP - University Pathway Program, you will benefit from:

What is the UPC - University Preparation Course?
A highly intensive and formalized course designed to enable students with the post-secondary academic skills required to succeed in a higher learning environment. It is the final step of the UPP - University Pathway Program.
How does the course work?
The course duration is 12 weeks and is divided into components that build upon each other week-to-week so that students are guaranteed to learn, develop and apply all of the skills that will help them succeed at a university/college level.
What is the course schedule?
The University Preparation course includes 24 lessons per week. This course starts at 9:00 AM and finishes at 2:30 PM, from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday. 24 Lessons = 20 Hours per week.

University Preparation course - UPC
Intensive, 24 lessons (20 hours) per week
This course is intensive. It includes Advanced Academic English lessons in the morning and in the afternoon.

UPC Admission Requirements
- Successful completion of Level 4B or higher at inlingua.
- Score of 85% or higher + one on one interview with one of our teachers at inlingua (please see an advisor - conditions may apply).
How long will the UPP program be?
The total duration of your UPP program will be maximum 44 weeks for an absolute beginner. Of course, you will study hard and you need to come to school every day. You are the key to your success!
If you are already at the advanced level, the minimum duration will be 12 weeks, which is the duration of the UPC - University Preparation Course.

What will I study in the UPP program?
It depends on your level of English at the moment you start at inlingua Vancouver.
If your level of English is already advanced: You will take the UPC University Preparation Course for 12 weeks.
If your level is not Advanced yet: You will first take any of the University Foundation Courses we offer:
- General English courses: All levels, from beginner to advanced. We offer a total of 10 levels. Each level lasts 4 weeks.
- Test preparation courses: For upper intermediate and advanced levels. These include IELTS, TOEFL, CAMBRIDGE FCE and CAMBRIDGE CAE.
You need to reach the advanced level before starting the UPC University Preparation Course. At inlingua Vancouver, it means you need to complete one of the following courses: Level 4B or higher, IELTS 6.5, TOEFL, CAMBRIDGE CAE.
Application Process
- STEP ONE: On the school application form: Please choose UPP University Pathway Program.
- STEP TWO: Take our online placement test to calculate how many weeks of study it will take you to complete the UPP University Pathway Program.
- STEP THREE: Talk to one of our Pathway Coordinators and select one of our partner universities / colleges.
- STEP FOUR: Complete and send an application form to the university or college you selected and include all additional documents. We will help you to collect your documents, review your application and help you apply.
- STEP FIVE: Process your payment to inlingua Vancouver and to the university / college you selected.
- STEP SIX: Receive 2 letters of acceptance. One from inlingua Vancouver and a second one, a conditional letter from the university / college you selected.
- STEP SEVEN: Apply for your study permit.
